Our partners

POTENCIAR is a broker and a convenor; the programme brings stakeholders together to learn and develop solutions to improve the delivery of basic services in Mozambique. Building partnerships and increasing collaboration between actors is at the heart of the programme’s approach. POTENCIAR is funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development office. 

Consortium Partners

The programme is managed by a consortium of partners led by Chemonics Group UK, with the support of Centro de Aprendizagem e Capacitacao da Sociedade Civil (CESC), Institute of Development Studies (IDS), FHI 360 UK, and COWI. The consortium provides management and technical assistance to the programme.

Local Partners

POTENCIAR works with national and local partners in Nampula to implement collaborative initiatives and drive effective change in improving the delivery of basic services for citizens. The programme has developed partnerships with key actors, including:

ICS Nampula The Institute of Health Sciences is a training institution in Nampula.

DPS Nampula DPS is the Provincial Directorate of Health. 

SPS Nampula SPS is the Provincial Health Service. 

SDSMAS Nampula
SDSMAS is the District Services for Health, Women and Social Action. 

Humaniza Moz Humaniza Moz is a national campaign launched in 2021 to prevent and combat obstetric violence.

 

Saber Nascer Saber Nascer is a national organisation founded in 2019 to promote the humanisation of obstetric care, it is a member of the Humaniza Moz campaign. For more information visit: Saber Nascer| Facebook

Radio Encontro Radio Encontro is a local radio based in Nampula province, Mozambique. 

Niiwanane Associação Niiwanane Wamphula is a community-based organisation (CBO) of people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWH) in Nampula Province, Mozambique. For more information visit: Niiwanane| Facebook 

Watana Watana (Associação De Solidariedade E Ajuda As Crianças Desamparadas) is an organisation supporting the rights of children in Monapo, Mozambique. 

 

Radio Monapo Radio Monapo is a local radio based in Monapo, Mozambique.
