Our MREAL Approach
POTENCIAR’s Monitoring, Research, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MREAL) strategy has been develop specifically to support thinking and working politically, action learning and adaptive management. It incorporates cycles of learning and reflection on data and evidence to systematically test assumptions in more detailed theories of action as well as the higher-level theory of change.
POTENCIAR’s MREAL system delivers the strategy governed by POTENCIAR’s values and principles that include, inclusiveness, adaptiveness, utility, transparency, and rigour. It is summarised in the framework below under the 3 primary interrelated but distinct MREAL components:
